HIGHLAND PARK GARDEN CLUB

Spring has sprung on Bryant Street! Pansies now grace the merchant-sponsored, club-maintained planters along Bryant Street. The plants are still just babies, but keep your eye on them - they'll grow quickly. Thanks to Tom Ferguson who spearheads this project (now in its 10th year!), to Susan Ryan and Tom who do so much planter prep and management, to all the volunteers who plant and maintain the seasonal displays, and to the 13 merchants who support the beautification of Bryant Street (listed below).

The club is also involved in other upcoming community planting activities:

Planters in front of the East Liberty Library - Mayte Saenz-Robles and Jill Traub will once again work on the beds outside the library, creating a little oasis for the enjoyment of library patrons and passers-by.

Highland Park Pillar Gardens - Nancy Levine and volunteers will be creating and tending to native perennials beds alongside the Highland Park entrance pillars.

More volunteers are always welcome! You don’t need to be a member to help, but if you’d like to join, click here for more info. Need to renew your membership? Click here.

Thanks to Melaine Kachmar for the Bryant Street photos, and to Len and Melaine Kachmar for volunteering to administer the club's Facebook page. Check it out here!
