HIGHLAND PARK GARDEN CLUB

MISSION:

The Highland Park Garden Club (HPGC):

supports gardening by individual gardeners in and around the Highland Park neighborhood;

enhances the community at large through garden and horticultural efforts and activities;

promotes gardening education, awareness, and interest throughout the Pittsburgh community at large.


MEETINGS:

The Club year runs January through December. Meetings usually fall on the third Saturday of the month. Meetings begin promptly at 10 am, and usually includes the 60-90 minute guest lecture or crafting event, sale of raffle tickets*, business meeting, and raffle drawing*. Everyone is welcome, but some events might require advance RSVP and/or material fee.  Meetings and tours are open to members, their guests, and members of the public free of charge, although non-members are encouraged to make a donation to the club via Eventbrite or join the Highland Park Garden Club (HPGCPGH.org). *  omitted on Zoom


MEMBERSHIP:

HPGC membership: $20/year

Memberships for the remainder of the year are discounted by $5 for those who join in September or later.

Membership in the Highland Park Garden Club is open to all, irrespective of race, color, age, religion, sex, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, military status, or place of residence.

Your membership in the Highland Park Garden Club also includes:

Membership in both the National Garden Clubs, Inc and the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania (GCFP) (District VII)

Subscriptions to two publications:

To join, please fill out and return the membership form with a check payable to the Highland Park Garden Club, or purchase a membership online through Eventbrite.


STRUCTURE:

The Highland Park Garden Club is a registered nonprofit 501c(3) organization. The Club is currently run by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and a general Board member. Recording duties are shared among interested volunteers from the general membership. 

The following committees organize  the Club's activities: Programming; Membership; Fundraising; Publicity. New members are welcome to become involved at whatever level and in whichever activities are of interest.
